For teachers and tutors: handwritten solutions, ready to share
Worked solutions are quickest to write by hand and hardest to share that way. Scriveno turns photos of your handwritten solutions, answer keys and board work into editable Word documents, LaTeX or typeset PDFs - equations and diagrams intact - so they can be revised, reused and read by every student.

How it works
Photograph or scan the page
Take a photo (JPG or PNG) or upload a PDF. A multi-page PDF is read page by page into one document.
Get an editable version
Equations, tables and text are transcribed and typeset, with diagrams cropped from your page.
Edit and share
Download Word to edit, LaTeX for your materials, or a tagged PDF to hand out.
Handouts you can edit next year
A scan of a solution sheet can't be corrected or reused. The Word export has native, editable equations and the LaTeX export is plain source, so next year's version is an edit, not a rewrite. Tables and hand-drawn diagrams come through too.
Accessible materials by default
The PDF export is tagged, so screen readers can follow it, and any result can be read aloud in the browser - math spoken as words - or turned into a voice-over audio file. It's a practical way to offer the same material in another format for students who need it.
Board work and worked examples
Photograph the whiteboard or a page of worked examples at the end of a lesson and share a typeset copy the same day. On plans that include them, bulk upload and bulk download handle a stack of files in one go.
Your students' privacy and yours
Pages are processed on Scriveno's own servers in Denmark, never used to train a model, and deleted automatically after the retention period. Avoid uploading pages that contain students' personal details you don't need to convert.
Across the sciences
Math worked examples keep their aligned steps, physics solutions keep their diagrams and units, and chemistry answer keys keep reactions in mhchem notation with state symbols and conditions intact. One upload can mix all three, so a combined-science worksheet doesn't need splitting up first.
Tutors can photograph a session's working at the end of the lesson and send the student a typeset copy - or a voice-over to listen to before the next session.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I edit the converted solutions?
- Yes. Word exports carry native, editable equations, and LaTeX exports are plain source you can change in any editor.
- Can I convert many pages at once?
- A multi-page PDF converts as one document. Bulk upload of several files and bulk download as a zip are available on plans that include them - see the pricing page. Compare plans
- Which files can I upload?
- PDFs, and photos in JPG or PNG format. Phone photos work; an evenly lit, flat, in-focus page gives the most reliable result.
- What happens to my uploaded notes?
- Pages are read by recognition models Scriveno runs on its own servers in Denmark - they aren't sent to a third-party AI provider and are never used to train a model. Uploads and every file made from them are deleted automatically after the file-retention period, currently 7 days. Read the Privacy Policy
