DECIMER - reads chemical structures drawn on your pages. The model is DECIMER V2 Models, version 2.4 (file models.zip) by Kohulan Rajan, Henning Otto Brinkhaus, Achim Zielesny and Christoph Steinbeck, published on Zenodo (doi:10.5281/zenodo.8300489 (opens in new tab)) under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0) (opens in new tab). We use the model weights unchanged. They are provided as-is, without warranties, as the licence states. The model runs with the DECIMER Image Transformer (opens in new tab) software, version 2.8.0, which is MIT-licensed.
KaTeX 0.18.4 - renders maths in the browser preview. Copyright (c) 2013-2020 Khan Academy and other contributors. MIT licence.
Tesseract - powers the browser-side OCR tool, which runs entirely on your own device. Apache License 2.0 - covering the tesseract.js (opens in new tab) 7.0.0 wrapper, the Tesseract OCR engine (opens in new tab) compiled into tesseract.js-core 7.0.0, and the English trained data (opens in new tab) (tessdata 4.0.0) it reads. The compiled engine also includes Leptonica, libjpeg, libpng, LibTIFF, libwebp, GIFLIB, OpenLibm and zlib, each under its own licence. This software is based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group.
